Voice over IP (VoIP) certification is in huge demand, especially the Cisco certification. Since Cisco Networking Academy is considered to be the leading and largest world classroom with respect to its training systems, its VoIP certification is the most sought after by professionals who wish to get certified in the most ubiquitous VoIP application systems.
There are three different certifications for Cisco Voice Over IP (VoIP) training. These are:
CCNA Voice (Cisco Certified Network Associate Voice): It is the certification of the basic level. A prerequisite for gaining this certification is to have a CCENT or CCIE or CCNA Routing and Switching certification.
To specialize in CCNA Voice, professionals need to pass a single test — the 640-460 Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications (IIUC) examination.
CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) Voice: This is the best voice certification one can get specialized in. To get certified, one needs to pass a qualifying exam. But what is more important is that the professionals should carry years of valuable experience along with possessing basic qualities such as diligence and dedication to be able to become a CCIE.
CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional): A basic CCNA is the only precondition to get CCVP certification – an intermediate-level certification that can be achieved by passing a series of five examinations. Even though a regular CCNA is the criterion, professionals can proceed to getting CCVP certified after clearing the CCNA voice certification as well.
Apart from these, various Cisco boot camps are also specifically held for individual learners as well as corporate employees to cater to their certification training and career needs.
